Practicing yoga is a chance to let go of every preconceived notion we have of ourselves and to start living in the present moment. It gives me the space to be with myself and to really get to know myself from the inside out, which I never had the opportunity to experience before starting my yoga practice. So after practicing for four years, deciding to sign up for my first yoga teacher training just felt like the next step in my practice. Now that doesn’t mean I wasn’t terrified, but if yoga has taught me anything it is to trust your intuition and know that getting a little uncomfortable is sometimes exactly what you need. I just want to be able pass on the practice that has transformed my life and so in turn, one of my students might feel empowered to do the same.
